Project description:

Promedas is medical diagnostic decision support system using probabilistic inference. Its practual value will demonstrated and evaluated in the Universitair Medisch Centrum Utrecht (UMCU).

SNN developed technologies in her ICIS projects that make it possible to develop and instantiate large-scale Bayesian networks. Based on these technologies, SNN developed a very large and complete medical expertsystem (Promedas). At the moment, Promedas covers thousands of diagnoses, thousands of symptoms and their relationships, which can be evaluated using our state-of-art algorithms. This project aims to validate the diagnostic quality of Promedas by practical evaluation.

Is Promedas able to provide quality diagnoses in a practical setting? Medics in the UMC will use Promedas and evaluate its quality in practical patient-cases.
