| Integrated CHIM Demonstrator |

Project description: The goal here is to create a joint CHIM demonstrator using modules from each of the above projects to show how all of the knowledge gained and software solutions developed could be used in an integrated package. The common scenario will be used to show that emergency fire fighting, police and medical teams can communicate with each other and with a crisis management group to keep everyone up to date on the situation in various locations in a tunnel. Information being sent by the various users, each with his own telephone, laptop, on-board computer, handheld device or whatever will be screened for validity and checked with other available information for accuracy before being sent to any or all of the other teams in a format suitable for their own devices and for the prevailing conditions and available resources. Conditions such as smoke in the tunnel could, for instance, render the use of screen messages unsuitable and a slow internet connection could mean that sending static icons would become more reliable than trying to send video footage.
